I have a new review for you today. This is a short review of a product called Elite Serum, which is an eye serum with peptides, seaweed and hyaluronic acid. I was able to use the product for a week, which is by no means an appropriate amount of time to judge a skin care product. However, there is still time to do some holiday shopping, so this might be something you want to order for yourself or loved ones.
In this review, I will give my initial impression of the product and later, I will do a more detailed review. I also plan on sharing my mom's review of the product. Since this product targets wrinkles, the results will be more visible on my mom's skin.
Okay, let's get to it...
The most interesting part about this serum is that it is packaged in what looks like a large syringe. Of course, there is no syring involved. The company has done this for precision application.
This product is actually surprisingly large for an eye serum. I had expected something much smaller. It contains 14ml of serum or 0.47 fl oz which I think is much more than what most brands will offer in a eye product.
The syringe shaped container has a clear plastic cap. When you remove that it also has a white flexible cap that keeps the syringe airtight. I think it keeps the serum fresh and prevents contamination. When you also remove the white plastic, it has a narrow long opening. The back of the syringe container is locked and has to be turned to the left to unlock it. This is good, otherwise, the serum would squeeze out when the product is put into a makeup bag.
Once the syringe is unlocked, you can push at one end to get some product out at the tip which is applied under and around the eyes.
Here are the directions for application, followed by the ingredients list.
Now lets get to the actual product. The serum is a very light, clear liquid. It looks slightly yellow in the container but is clear when pumped out. It is odorless and quite watery. There is no feeling of grease whatsoever.
I have never seen a product that my skin absorbs so quickly. When I apply this serum under my eyes, my skin absorbs it in 5 seconds! I'm not joking! I don't know how that's possible, but it's the first time I'm seeing it.
The eye products I've used before have always contained some oil in it. So I'm used to a greasy feeling under my eyes. I didn't experience that at all with this product which at first made me think that it wasn't moisturizing. But that's not true. It is moisturizing, the difference is that the product absorbs into skin and doesn't sit on top of it like most oily eye products do.
So my eyes feel really light. The product isn't heavy at all. It disappears in five seconds and the skin around my eyes feels soft without the grease.
The only thing I'm not too happy about so far, is not the product, but the packaging. I think the packaging is a unique idea but it doesn't work as well as expected. Instead of a precise application, having to push the syringe to get the product causes me to squirt too much product and usually somewhere other than my hand. It's very difficult to squirt a precise amount which is exactly what this packaging is supposed to do.
Elite Serum is marketed as the next best thing to cosmetic surgery. And so far, I also feel that the product is a very high quality product for a great price. I understand that the brand wanted to send the message that women will be getting results as though they had a treatment at the doctor's office and thus they chose the syringe style packaging. I think it would have been better to stick to a classic serum bottle with a dropper or a pump type bottle. I think the application would have been easier and more precise that way.
Nevertheless, the packaging doesn't take anything away from the product as a whole because the serum is good. If you're looking for an eye serum right now, this might be the best time to order Elite Serum. I think they have lowered their prices.
Meanwhile, they have also offered to give away one Elite Serum to one of my followers. Thank you Elite Serum! Please fill in your entries in the rafflecopter widget below!
I will have another more detailed review up next month, so please keep an eye out for that.
