Hi Ladies,
I think you're really going to like the tip I'm going to tell you gals about today!
If you remember, last month I got a black eye pencil from the Body Shop. Well it didn't turn out too great. The color is just very weak and you have to press down and go over the line 4-5 times to actually see it. Our waterline is already a very sensitive area and it hurts to have to use eye liners this way.
Several years ago, I learned a way to make eye pencils darker and softer and it's super easy!
The way to do it is to hold your eye pencil in flame for about half a second. Sharpen your eye pencil, light the stove or a match or a lighter. Place the tip of the eye pencil in the flame for half a second to a second and pull it back right away. If you hold it for a second longer, it will completely melt and start to drip. That's not what you want to do, you just want to soften the tip.
I did this with my Body Shop eye pencil and here are the results:
The second image is after holding the pencil in the flame. You can see the very tip has melted a little and is a bit shinier.
Swatch of the pencil before and after flaming. Do you see the difference? It's amazing! Not only is the color darker and denser, but the pencil is super-soft, it's like between an eye pencil and gel liner.
How it looks on my eyes. I only made one line in both, did not go over them. It's a little harder to line the top lashes after flaming because the tip is bigger after melting, so it makes a thick line. But it's gorgeous on the waterline, goes on so soft, easy and dark. It's very much like those oil based kajals.
How do you gals like this tip?
Go ahead and give it a try! I know you want to!

Oh wow! What a difference. Thank you for sharing I'm gonna try this.
I use to do this ALL the time in high school. I always keep a lighter with me in my makeup bag, very useful.
